3rd Degree Blackbelt – Now That’s Dedication
This weekend my 15-year-old son, Blake, earned his 3rd Degree Blackbelt from Karate America. Blake’s karate journey is an example of extreme dedication. Blake started out as a “Little Ninja” when he was only 4 years old and quickly fell in love with the discipline and Teamwork needed to participate in the classes. His mentor and first instructor, Sam, was patient and constantly provided encouragement to Blake to keep trying even when it took several attempts to learn a form or technique.
As I am starting on my entrepreneurial journey with my new business, Lake Country Business Services, Inc., I think of Blake as inspiration to keep up the hectic pace of launching a new business. There are certainly many challenges to building a business. Dedication and persistency are keys to keep moving forward to ensure not only that my business makes it past that first-year mark but that the business is successful beyond my wildest dreams. I’m off to a great start and certainly enjoying the adventure.
What’s even more amazing about Blake’s journey is that he was only 2.7 pounds when he was born. He’s been a fighter and has grown into a strong young man that I am so proud to call my Son. He’s the perfect inspiration for his Dad!
